Reopening Train Mountain Site Phase Two
Klamath County has received permission from the State of Oregon to start reopening from the lock down order under the States' Phase Two Reopening Plan.
In accordance, Train Mountain will start allowing access to the TM site in accordance with the State's plan and our need to protect our employees and volunteers.
We will not be opening the museum to the public at this time. The TM site will be open to members and Harvest Host guests only at this time. The state's Phase Two plan does allow opening of museums with very restrictive rules. Our museum will remain closed until we can develop a plan that protects our volunteers and is agreed to by our museum workers.
Starting on June 5, 2020 all members may enter the TM site to do volunteer work and/or to run their trains. Overnight stays will be allowed. The members must follow all social distancing rules. The members are encouraged not to enter any buildings except those where they are performing specific volunteer work. The only bath room facilities that will be open at this time will be the restrooms on the east side of the Central Station.
If you are a member that is planning on coming to TM, please call the office to receive the new gate code.
